What is it about?
Psychotherapists do not observe clients from a completely neutral position: their questions, assumptions and reactions are already part of the therapeutic process. This paper presents a practical five-stage framework that helps therapists reflect on their own role, recognise recurring interaction patterns and adapt interventions in response to feedback. The aim is to expand clients’ realistic choices while maintaining safety, professional responsibility and transparent awareness of the therapist’s influence.
