What is it about?
The goal of this study is to explore how trust manifests in early-stage Romanian ICT ventures and navigates from personal to organizational addressability. Qualitative research examined narrative interviews to investigate the experiences related to trust and formation of trust amongst ICT entrepreneurs in the company’s early stage. Methodological approach is inspired by the theoretical background of social system theory. Early venture ITC entrepreneurs built a communication medium through swift trust considering 6 dimensions. Our findings indicate that entrepreneurs leverage their reputation as a scalable "trust currency". In early venture ITC entrepreneurs aim to establish more non-addressable trust via addressability of swift trust. It is their aim to imprint the communication based on trust into the organization’s communicative expression. The article presents what swift trust involves and how it is transferred into organizational reliability, moving the startup closer to the continued functioning and self-validation characteristic of system trust.
