What is it about?

Intellectual Property (IP) plays a crucial role in the creation of knowledge-based economies and has a significant role in building sustainable economic growth through the creation and diffusion of technology and deep-tech start-ups. The knowledge-based economies support innovation ecosystems by enabling national policies wherein intellectual property policy becomes an integral part of the innovation policy. This study aimed to study the IP policy of Higher Education Institutions in India. It also identified the barriers to IP generation at universities. It helps policymakers to redesign the policy tools to enable innovation promotion at HEIs
