What is it about?
As the search for a fuller understanding of the implications of HPWPs continues, we find that the use of HPWPs is widespread among entrepreneurial firms in Africa. However, ability and motivation-enhancing HPWPs are dominant, while opportunity-enhancing practices are rarely implemented owing to country contexts. We also find that such contingency factors as firm size and industry type do not have significant moderating effect on the relationship between HPWPs and performance of entrepreneurial firms.
