What is it about?
This paper aims to study the definition and formation of Skunk Works and how it may be used as a theoretical alternative instead of other mainstream concepts of collective and/or corporate entrepreneurships. The study also dissecting some of the most common misunderstandings misconceptions of the present literature available on the usage of Skunk Works.

Why is it important?
The study illustrates how Skunk Works remains a sustainable form of entrepreneurship. It also shows that is pertinent to consider it as a practical construct for smaller as well as larger organisations in terms of solving complicated innovative tasks that require a multidisciplinary team with expert competence in a relatively quicker period of time.
Perspectives
The study shows that it is possible for some organisations to take greater initiatives towards assembling entrepreneurial teams in the Skunk Work tradition.
