Why is it important?
Our findings suggest that there is a correlation between the initiating body, its commitment to participation and the level of success of the participatory process.
Perspectives
Participatory processes are highly complex, involving many factors which may hinder their success, especially in highly centralized planning environments. In this paper, we try to shed light on the various factors which may contribute to a better evaluation of these processes, with some insights from processes implemented within the Israeli planning context.
