Shared savings contracts have the potential to enhance healthcare performance. We investigated a specific type of nuanced shared savings contract in the Netherlands for home care nursing. However, our analysis revealed no evidence supporting the effectiveness of these contracts. In the studied context, it may be necessary to implement stronger incentives or otherwise focus more on active collaboration.
