What is it about?
This study uniquely combines Conservation of Resources theory with Self-Determination Theory to examine how work passion develops and affects turnover intentions. Its main innovation lies in discovering that work passion mediates the relationship between work-family enrichment and trust in managers on one side, and turnover intentions on the other. A particularly notable finding is that hybrid workers demonstrated higher work passion compared to on-site employees. The study's contribution to the field is significant as it empirically demonstrates how work passion functions within a 'resource caravan passageway', showing how organizational resources like work-family enrichment and trust can create positive spiraling effects that ultimately reduce employee turnover intentions.
