What is it about?

Findings help illuminate the effects of negative managerial communication on employee emotions and explain how high quality manager-employee relationships help buffer the negative effects. The study also shows how negative (disconfirming) managerial communication has different effects on employees who have high trait negative affect, i.e. individuals who are less relaxed who tend to scan for threats, and who accentuate the negative in situations.
