What is it about?
Whistleblowing is a strategy recently adopted by the Nigerian government to combat corruption. While the policy has yielded positive results, its implementation is still facing some challenges. Consequently, the government is enacting a legislation to give legal backing to the policy. We assess the implementation of the policy and evaluate the draft Whistleblowing and Witness Protection Bill 2019. It finds that the policy is working well and the Bill when passed into law will strengthen the fight against corruption.
