What is it about?

This work is about the effects of collaboration in teams and working with other people to achieve unique results. First, to achieve project outcomes, individuals need to understand what the project is about and then move forward from this understanding, to actually internalizing it such that they can put it into practice once the need arises. Finally, tasks that have been carried out also require to be documented so others coming behind can redo these tasks without having to learn over and over again.

Why is it important?

Very often, teams in organizations do not understand the dynamics that drive achievement and project results. Knowledge is the key to delivering results and teams are the powerhouse of collective know-how. My research explored the dynamics of creating knowledge within teams and how team members interact with each other to create a unique understanding of the project at hand and how this unique or shared understanding leads to implementing the project.

Perspectives

This work is one of my most cherished works in that I feel I have given to organizations a model (the CRAI Model) that can help them manage knowledge in collaborative scenarios. I am very excited about this because life is about giving back to community. Organizations can benefit by applying this well grounded and tested model to solve their knowledge problems.
