Knowledge strategies for environmental innovations
What is it about?
The paper analyses how manufacturing firms develop the specific knowledge needed to go green by introducing environmental innovations. Knowledge strategies of green innovators differs from non-green innovators in that they rely more on suppliers, customers, universities, business services to supply the needed knowledge but not in terms of the investments in internal knowledge resources(R&D, training).
Why is it important?
This paper shows that the firms need a peculiar knowledge management approach to successfully access and develop the knowledge needed to reduce their environmental impacts, and suggest the most relevant external and internal resources to do so.
