Artificial intelligence in higher education: a comparative synthesis of university teachers’ and students’ perspectives on AI integration and chatbot use

What is it about?

This study examined how university teachers and students perceive the growing use of artificial intelligence. While both groups recognised AI as a useful tool that can improve learning efficiency, they also expressed concerns about ethical issues. The findings highlight the need for clear institutional policies and the development of critical AI literacy to support responsible and pedagogically grounded AI integration in higher education.
