Why is it important?

This study is important as it is set within the adult social care realm of social work integrating with health services. This is a relatively new form of integration that has not previously been explored in depth. This study is practitioner led and engages with professionals on the ground. It is important in that their voice is heard. It takes place in a time of economic austerity on public services and explores the impact of austerity on integrated health and social care services.

Perspectives

I hope this article encourages further research into what will become an ever expanding area of social work practice as we move forward with integration in England. Writing this article was insightful and a great pleasure, I hope you enjoy reading it.
