What is it about?
The paper addresses the implications of insecure attachment styles on burnout and turnover intentions among nurses in hospitals. The article examines how nurses appraise conflicts with patients' family members and how their response patterns to such conflicts impact this relationship. The study found that anxious attachment style (rather than avoidant style) was indirectly associated with higher burnout and intention to leave nursing through threat appraisal and subsequent escalating and self-regulating behaviors.
