What is it about?
The healthcare system faces many challenges and is under pressure. This asks for significant change, also in hospitals. But succesful change requires that the collective workforce, non-clinical and clinical experiences engagement. However, there is a lack of understanding of the work engagement of non-clinical hospital workers. We used the natural experience of the Covid-19 pandemic to measure WE and found that under acute pressure clinicals are more dedicated, while under chronic pressure there is no difference.
