Why is it important?
Our study is important because it provides a timely and comprehensive understanding of how digital technologies can transform healthcare supply chains, especially in the wake of global disruptions such as the COVID-19 pandemic. The research highlights how digital solutions—such as real-time tracking, data analytics, and blockchain—can enhance efficiency, transparency, and responsiveness in delivering critical medical supplies. This work is unique because it not only identifies key digital interventions but also provides practical insights for healthcare managers to improve supply chain performance. By leveraging digital transformation, healthcare organizations can ensure better resource allocation, reduce delays, and ultimately enhance patient care.
Perspectives
Writing this article has been an incredibly rewarding experience, as it allowed me to explore the intersection of digital transformation and healthcare supply chains, two areas I am deeply passionate about. Collaborating with my co-author has been a valuable journey, combining our insights to address the pressing challenges faced by healthcare organizations today. This research has given me a fresh perspective on how technology can bridge operational gaps and improve patient care in real-world settings. I believe that our findings can serve as a catalyst for healthcare leaders to embrace digital solutions and rethink their supply chain strategies for a more resilient future.
