A roadmap towards implementing health technology assessment in Oman

What is it about?

Our manuscript titled "A Roadmap Towards Implementing Health Technology Assessment in Oman" focuses on developing a Health Technology Assessment (HTA) roadmap for Oman. The study, through surveys and expert discussions, identifies current gaps in HTA implementation and proposes tailored recommendations for efficient resource allocation in healthcare. The findings emphasize the need for increased HTA training, a national HTA unit, and the use of multiple cost-effectiveness thresholds. This work is a significant step towards enhancing Oman's healthcare system in line with its Vision 2040, highlighting the importance of HTA in making informed decisions about health technologies.
