A retrospective case note review of young people in transition from adolescent medium secure units to adult services

What is it about?

Transitions of care from forensic child and adolescent mental health services is an overlooked research area. Young people moving from forensic services to adult care present with multiple and complex needs and require additional support during periods of transition. We need to improve current policy and practice for this group through specialised care pathways and effective transition preparation.
