What is it about?
This study explores how project managers in project-based organizations can enhance project success by leveraging social interactions to create value. Despite advances in project management tools, overall success rates remain stagnant. The research highlights that daily social interactions between managers and employees are crucial for fostering cooperation and achieving better outcomes. Through interviews with project managers, the study reveals that specific behavioural strategies can promote value creation, though their effectiveness is influenced by the social culture at the project site. The findings emphasize the importance of understanding and adapting strategies to the unique social context of each project.
