What is it about?

This paper develops a new framework and offers ten practical steps towards developing organizational capabilities to thrive amid global uncertainty (e.g., digital disruption, policy shocks, and other unexpected threats in the global business environment). The three capabilities for thriving amid global uncertainty are: sensing the context, driving the market, and redesigning the business. The study illustrates them with examples of Huawei, IKEA, Microsoft, and Sony. It extends the dynamic capabilities framework by including explicitly the role of global business environment's uncertainty.
