Factors influencing committee effectiveness in public higher education institutions: evidence from Ghana

What is it about?

Teamwork is an important phenomenon without which committees in higher education institutions are doomed to fail. This study exposes that, even committees in our higher education institutions are not perfect teams. It finds that, effectiveness of HEI committees in Ghana is significantly influenced by mutual trust based on competence and effective communication. It also reveals the seeming rift between academic and administrative staff in committees.
