What is it about?
The article would like to stress the idea that the "back-office", such as the Finance function, contributes to value creation as much as the "front-office". One would tend to believe that front-line management manages the levers of value creation almost exclusively. We found that the Finance functions, headed by Influential CFOs, have quite a bit to manage in terms of value creation.

Why is it important?
Our findings are an important reminder to CEOs to accurately develop the Finance function and "team-up" with CFOs, developing strong support to business, independent compliance and common language.
Perspectives
This is contribution based on real cases, intended to help organizations to frame a development patterns for the Finance function. Further it suggests some how CFOs functional experience, background, age, gender, position in the BoD support development patterns.
