What is it about?

Many lecturers and students claimed that the conventional lecture approach in the classroom is less effective in the teaching and learning process. In this regard, mind map can be an innovative and alternative tool in the teaching and learning method that is able to accommodate the digital-native students due to its inherent nature.

Why is it important?

Technology is changing the classroom experience. Information and Communication Technology has made numerous innovations in teaching and learning process in order to accommodate challenging digital natives’ needs. Consequently, we need to have interactive teaching and learning tools in order to ensure the learning outcomes able to be achieved. However, many lecturers and students claimed that the conventional lecture approach in classroom is less effective towards teaching and learning process. Hence, the purpose of this study is to unveil the use of iMindMap software as an interactive tool in teaching and learning method and able to be an alternative instrument in achieving the ultimate learning outcome.

Perspectives

This study presents an alternative instrument, which is innovative and interactive in teaching and learning, which is able to benefit all students in various subjects and fields.
