Symbolic power, discourse, and underrepresentation of women in IT

What is it about?

Women in IT are under-represented, and continue to be so despite repeated attempts to encourage their participation in this industry. We analyse the discourse of one such campaign and find how inadvertently the discourse employed can discourage rather than encourage participation in the IT industry.
