What is it about?

This study consists of two field experiments to test the effects of survey data collection method and response device of response quality on data quality in different question formats. It was found that Computer-Assisted Self-Administered Interviews (CASI) perform much better than Computer-Assisted Personal Interviews (CAPI) and e-mail delivered Web surveys in almost all counts of response quality. Device has no effect on overall survey completion rate in e-mail delivered web surveys.
