What is it about?

Discovering paths between concepts in a collaborative network (e.g. Wikipedia) using simple web-based semantic metrics, which use only the frequency of terms in a search engine, as heuristics.

Why is it important?

Web-based heuristics are simple to use and the proposed algorithm doesn't need high computational capabilities, therefore being suitable also for Big Data and big collective repositories (Iarge dimensions, high connectivity degree, dynamical evolution, which represent special challenges for efficient graph search methods). The paper also provide a comparation of the main semantic heuristics.
