What is it about?

Performance of the social protection programs has been checked across the world by observing actualities like government spending, the structure of the institutions and economic development. The research outcomes show that developed regions have better welfare standards than developing regions which are facing fiscal and institutional challenges. From a policy perspective, there is a need to improve the institutional structures and performance by the governments to get better outcomes from social protection spending.
