What is it about?
As COVID-19 spreads globally, the health and economic impacts are disproportionately affecting marginalized workers, who often lack access to paid sick days and unemployment benefits. Constitutional rights may provide a foundation for making laws more inclusive. We examine how many of the world's constitutions protect the rights to income security during illness and unemployment, safe working conditions, and non-discrimination.
