Satellite maps of burned neighborhoods in Osh, Kyrgyzstan
More than 2000 buildings were burned in the city of Osh, Kyrgyzstan just in four days as a ethnic violence that affected various neighborhoods. These images demonstrate the damage assessment in Osh. The satellite maps created by UNITAR/UNOSAT (the UN agency) show 7 major clusters of property destruction in the city of Osh. UNOSAT also provides information for each damage cluster including a number of burned houses, roadblocks and SOS signs identified in these neighborhoods.
