Cutting forces prediction and thermal distribution considering various cutting parameters and wear progression in drilling

What is it about?

The paper deals with the drilling process simulation. A 3D model simulation of drilling is developed by means of finite element method (FEM). It is applied to superficially hardened steels and assess the heat treatments effect on the optimum drilling conditions (feed rate, speed, etc.).
