What is it about?
This paper explores a new way of teaching sustainability in higher education by using student-led discussions instead of traditional lectures. These discussions help students develop key skills needed for solving real-world sustainability problems, such as teamwork, strategic thinking, and communication. Drawing from personal teaching experiences, the research shows that when students lead discussions, they become more engaged and develop better interpersonal skills. This approach turns teachers into facilitators, allowing students to take charge of their learning and work together more effectively. The study highlights the importance of these interactive methods in preparing students for sustainability challenges.
