Agencification is a process of delegating public service from ministerial departments into semi-autonomous agencies. This study explore the practice of agencification in Indonesia by taking cases of semi-autonomous universities.

This study provides empirical evidence from the higher education sector in a developing country where agencification is a fairly new phenomenon.

Perspectives

This article is one of the first English journal manuscript describing agencification in Indonesia. I had experienced as a financial manager in a semi-autonomous university. So, I am happy to write about this topic. Hopefully, you will find it interesting.
