What is it about?
How can (regional) governments interact with citizens, companies and other stakeholders to develop innovative solutions to societal problems? This study presents an analysis of a collaborative effort to generate data about air quality as a basis for better clean air policies. The paper highlights the potential but also shows that making the initiative work on the long-term requires considerable commitment from government.
