Too often we assume that lessons from sophisticated, developed countries are transferrable to less developed economies where people do not have the same background knowledge and experience.. This is a form of cultural imperialism. We need to adjust our thinking and our lessons to match current expertise and knowledge - translating across cultural and business divides.
