What is it about?

The spread of COVID-19 led the governments to design strategies aimed to tackle this disease. One strategy has been to anticipate the release of significant numbers of prisoners from overcrowded prisons. We examine how prisoners’ early release affects other citizens’ perceived insecurity and attitudes towards those prisoners, and how citizens’ political orientation influences these variables.
