What is it about?

Certain repetitive and unengaging logistics and supply chain tasks continue to challenge worker engagement and elicit prosocial behavior, further exacerbated by an increase in remote work. We find that perseverance is an important personality trait that can improve remote supply chain worker engagement. However, conventional management tools such as participative goal-setting may backfire on this particular group of workers. Further, their intrinsic motivation is best leveraged for more difficult tasks for improved group performance.
