What is it about?
This study explored and found gender differences in a drug rehabilitation program for drug-involved prisoners in the Philippines. The program had positive effects on both sexes but had larger effects on women. The study also found support that developing drug recovery and life skills lead to increased family support, psychological well-being, quality of life and decreased substance use disorder symptoms and intent to use.
