What is it about?

Women leaving prison face greater challenges than men, especially with housing, employment, and parenting. Our study of over 5,000 people found women were more likely to have unmet needs in these areas and to receive short, disruptive sentences. These findings support gender-responsive policies and call for an end to short-term imprisonment for women.
