What is it about?

This paper contributes to the literature firstly, by identifying the type of motivation of the hotel’s employees: ‘Prosocial motivation’, evoked by satisfaction with motivators and hygienes. Secondly, by presenting a ‘Satisfiers and Hygienes model for Prosocial Motivation and Job Satisfaction’, illustrating the reciprocal relationship between prosocial motivation and job satisfaction.
