What is it about?
Are executives who engage in regular spiritual practices more resilient under stress than their non-spiritual peers? This study used a mixed methods design to explore the relationship of spirituality and resilience and found that leaders who engage in regular spiritual practices such as meditation and mindfulness score higher than the general population on a standardized measure of resilience.

Why is it important?
Stress in the workplace has reached epidemic proportions. Our findings show that spiritual practices can increase resilience, inhibit the stress response, and create job burnout.
