What is it about?

We know that decent work conditions are important to a healthy pregnancy. Undocumented women workers face difficult work conditions, however, and this article explores the ways that work plays out in their experiences of pregnancy. Poor work conditions, stressful relationships with employers and exclusion from social protections like parental leave and child care all combine to make pregnancy a time of vulnerability for undocumented women.
