What is it about?

There is an apparent tension between the claims of modern corporations to be socially responsible and the idea that corporations should maximize shareholders' profits. in the event that corporations continue to to pursue corporate profits, they cannot at the same time profess effective social responsibility practices. this is because both ideologies are antithetical.

Why is it important?

This work was able to identify and analyze an interconnected yet different barriers that militate against the realization of effective corporate social responsibility practices by contemporary corporations. This identification and categorization is peculiar to this paper.

Perspectives
