What is it about?

Defensive pessimism (or sandbagging as it is commonly referred to by industry practitioners) is the means many people use to harness performance anxiety, in academics, sports, business and other facets of life. We show for the first time that when practiced excessively in supply chain management, sandbagging can be counterproductive.
