What is it about?

The Practicum Lesson Study (PLS) is a collaborative model designed for preservice teachers, mentor teachers, and advisors during school practicum. This study evaluated the PLS model through eight cases with 10 preservice EFL teachers and 3 mentor teachers. Using a design-based research framework, the study detailed the teaching sessions, discussion meetings, and procedural steps. Participants' views on the PLS model, its benefits, and challenges were collected through interviews and questionnaires. The study found that the PLS model improved self and peer reflection and collaborative practices. It also helped preservice teachers adjust their teaching strategies based on feedback. However, challenges like managing diverse opinions and coping with information overload were also noted in light of the findings.
