What is it about?
We develop a set of quarterly land value indices for Santiago de Chile during the period 1983Q4 – 2016Q2, and determine the long-term impact of macroeconomic variables on them. We find extraordinary and unexplained land value increases during the 1990s, the period of the so-called Chilean Economic Miracle.
