What is it about?
This study explores how crowdfunding can be helpful for women entrepreneurs. Researchers examined 36 studies to understand the advantages and challenges women face when using crowdfunding to raise money for their businesses. The study found that crowdfunding can be a valuable tool for women because it allows them to access funding that might be difficult to get from traditional sources like banks. Women-led crowdfunding campaigns can be just as successful, or even more successful, than those run by men. However, there are still some challenges. Women may be under-represented in crowdfunding, ask for smaller amounts of money, and have difficulty making their pitch to investors. Additionally, they may have less access to professional networks that can help them succeed. This research provides valuable information for policymakers and organizations who want to help women entrepreneurs take advantage of crowdfunding.
