Ethical leadership is seen as the most appropriate style if one wants to lead an organization ethically. This study highlights the problems that can occur at employee level when ethical leadership is exercised. Ethical leadership can erode intrinsic moral motivation of employees as it ignores the other variables that govern individuals' morality.
