What is it about?
Effective management of large and small-scale events depends on residents’ sensitivities to positive and negative impacts. This study contributes to understandings of the perceptions of the benefits of event certification by residents, and how this affects their subsequent event support. Looking at Milan Expo, we find that place attachment moderates the impact of environmental certification on the evaluations of negative environmental impacts.
