What is it about?
This study explored why hospitality employees leave their jobs, especially after the pandemic, and found some surprising results. It showed that personal factors like age and marital status are stronger predictors of turnover than traditional work-related factors like income or education. Older and married employees were less likely to quit, while younger workers were more prone to leave. The study also found that financial aid didn’t significantly reduce turnover, but personal circumstances like health risks and social vulnerability had a bigger impact. Employers should focus on personalized, flexible retention strategies to keep workers, especially younger ones.
